Peeled Snacks founder, Noha Waibsnaider, launched Peeled Snacks in 2004 when she noticed something missing from the world of snack food. She craved a snack that tasted good while making you feel good about snacking. In starting Peeled Snacks, she invented the snack that she craved, debuting with three premium mixes of fruits & nuts, Bing Bing Cherry, Shock-olate and FigSated.
Noha, who received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2002, was one of the co-founders of the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), a $1.5MM initiative promoting businesses with a positive social and environmental impact, and was an officer for the Social Enterprise Club - a Net Impact Chapter dedicated to helping a new generation of entrepreneurs make a positive social impact while making a profit.
After graduation, Noha worked at consumer-packaged-goods giant Unilever. She managed alternative channels for Ragu Pasta Sauce and helped develop new products under the internationally known Lipton Tea brand. Before joining the consumer packaged goods industry, Noha worked in the nonprofit sector, publishing, and marketing communications. She graduated magna cum laude from American University in Washington D.C. with a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies.
Noha frequently speaks in business school classes and panels on social entrepreneurship. She has been a judge and mentor for the GSVC, and is an active member of Net Impact, 85 Broads, Ladies Who Launch, Women Entrepreneur Network, NY Foodie Companies Group, and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Noha, a consummate reader, speaks 3 languages fluently and enjoys traveling, yoga, cooking, and exploring farmers markets for yummy foods.
